Our Pastors
Pastor Lamar & Asst. Pastor Dr. Dianne Dunford

Pastor Lamar and Dr. Dianne Dunford have served faithfully in ministry for decades, walking together in marriage since October 2, 1992. They are proud parents to five children (two boys and three girls), grandparents to two granddaughters, and great-grandparents to one great-grandson. Together, they shepherd the flock at Innovations FGBC with a heart of love and vision for change.

Pastor Lamar Dunford was licensed to preach the gospel in 1991 by Bishop Johnny Williams. Both he and Dr. Dianne were ordained in 1995 under Pastor James Johnson of Anointed Word Ministry and “given the charge” to preach the Gospel in and out of season.

Their call echoes Galatians 1:15 17 and John 3:16 — to reach the lost, teach the Word, and shepherd with knowledge and understanding.
OUR CHURCH
Innovations Full Gospel Baptist Church began as an extension of Ms. Dunford’s business and ministry, Innovations Health Care Services, Ltd. After the business was sold, the ministry continued, and in March 2000, the Lord led Pastor Dunford to 10250 Hayne Blvd in New Orleans.
Pastor Dunford envisioned a ministry of breakthrough, love, and change, and Innovations FGBC was born. The church grew from 17 members before Hurricane Katrina to a revitalized congregation after the storm.
In October 2015, the Lord blessed Innovations FGBC with its current building at 6936 Downman Road, New Orleans. Renovations began in 2016 and were completed in 2017, with the sanctuary dedicated to the Lord on August 26, 2017. Each year on the fourth Sunday in August, we celebrate God’s faithfulness and the fresh anointed Word He gives His people.

At Innovations FGBC, our ministries are designed to help people grow in faith, build community, and serve others. From dynamic women’s and men’s groups to outreach and online teaching, there’s a place for everyone to connect, grow, and make an impact for Christ.
MEN'S MINISTRY
Our Men’s Ministry equips and encourages men to grow in their faith, lead their families, and serve their community. Through fellowship, discipleship, and outreach, we help men become strong, godly leaders at home, in the church, and in the world.
